Webinar Description:
This presentation covers signs and symptoms of depression and anxiety as well as what to look for in students struggling with mental health and provides tips and examples of what educators, faculty, staff, and other professionals working with students can do to help support students and get them the support they need.
Speaker Bio:
Brittany Weaver is a Behavioral Health Therapist 3 and UPMC’s Center for Children and Families (CCF) for the past 3 years. She has been working as a therapist for the past 12 years in various roles including Family Based, School Based and Outpatient and is also currently work as a contracted therapist at Cranberry Psychological Center for the past 3 years. She also runs a successful College ADHD Group for transitional age students at CCF every spring and fall semester, supervises therapists for licensure, and helps train other therapists in Family Therapy. She also helps co-supervise CCF’s Family Therapy Training Clinic on Thursday evenings. Brittany also has had the pleasure of presenting at several local area High Schools on Adolescent and teen depression and anxiety as well as presented at both NAMI and RCPA last year on addressing cultural barriers to treatment. She is excited to share her knowledge and learn from you all as well!
