Bio
Carolyn Welshonce joined Pine-Richland School District during the start of 2012-13 school year as the the district's first social worker & home school visitor.
She joined PR, after serving the New Brighton Area School District for seven years.
Carolyn began her studies in education at West Virginia Wesleyan College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. She followed that with a Master's of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Pittsburgh. After graduating from the MSW program, she worked for Catholic Charities helping young women who experienced unexpected pregnancy.
Carolyn currently works with students and families helping them to navigate the confusing mental health system. She also coordinates both the High School and Middle School Student Assistance Program (SAP) teams.
She is very excited to serve on the PASAP board of directors.
