Levels of Mental Health Services featuring Terrie Taylor Lead SAP Specialist, Caron Treatment Centers


Webinar Description: 

As SAP team members we often deal with mental health issues in our students. This Webinar will explain the various levels/types of mental health treatment, the medical criteria for a psychiatric hospitalization, and how to work with various treatment providers to ensure communication and best treatment practices

Speaker Bio:  

Terrie Taylor, LSW has over 20 years of experience working with children and adolescents. She started her career in public child welfare, working with children in foster care, matching eligible children with adoptive families, and supervising other caseworkers. She has also worked as a Behavioral Specialist with autistic children, collaborating with families and educators to help meet their needs, and has worked in the Psychiatric Emergency Room at Reading Hospital. She has been a SAP specialist with Caron Treatment Centers since 2013. She is a Lead Trainer for Caron Treatment Centers which is a PA Approved SAP Training Provider (PASTP) with the PA Network for Student Assistance Services (PNSAS). Terrie also serves on her local school board and is the District’s representative on the Berks County Intermediate Unit Board of Directors.

Terrie was born and raised in Berks County. Terrie and her husband, Eric, have 2 children, ages 8 and 6. She has previously volunteered with CatWorks, St. Vincent DePaul Society, and is a current committee woman for the Berks County Democratic Committee.
