Webinar Description: 

In this webinar, Nicole Rex and Carolyn Thompson will focus on strategies to engage students in the Student Assistance Program process, both in-person and virtually.

Speaker Bios:  

Nicole Rex is a Lead Student Assistance Program Specialist with Caron Treatment Centers specializing in adolescent nicotine trends cessations. Through her work at Caron, Nicole has provided thousands of students with education and prevention services including assemblies, classroom presentations and nicotine cessation support groups. Nicole has spoken to many hundreds of professionals and parents providing much needed education surrounding drug and alcohol trends. Prior to her work at Caron, Nicole was a School Nurse for eleven years.

Carolyn Thompson is a student assistance specialist with Caron Treatment Centers, working in the Cocalico School District. She provides consultation, prevention and intervention services for secondary school students. She has a background in social work and prior experience working in a hospital emergency department, a child welfare agency, and the PA Department of Public Welfare.
