Prevent Suicide PA is pleased to have Dr. Sean Joe, of Washington University in St. Louis, discuss the emerging science on patterns and trends of suicidal behavior among black children and adolescents in the U.S. to ring the alarm for increased equity in our science.  He will discuss the patterns and trends of suicidal behavior of ethnic minority populations in the U.S. and around the world.  Dr. Joe will also discuss what needs to be done to bring equity to the research workforce, infrastructure, as well as the prevention, treatment, and intervention literature.  The implication for using an equity lens in the distribution and effectiveness of clinical practice and preventative interventions will also be discussed.
