6th Annual Erie Suicide Prevention Conference: Building Stronger Communities

The 6th Annual Suicide Prevention Conference theme is: 

“Building Stronger Communities: Suicide Prevention, Intervention and Postvention Across the Lifespan.” 

Our Keynote Speaker Michael Polacek, MSN, RN-BC, is a Professional Development Specialist with Salem Health in Salem, Oregon and a former member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association Board of Directors.  He is the President of the Oregon Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and has led many community efforts to fight suicide in his state. His message is one we hope to bring to our conference attendees and help inspire change in our own community. Other speakers represent various agencies and resources within the Erie community and serve to build a foundation for support, intervention and suicide prevention in our own community.
