Webinar Description: This presentation will discuss the adolescent use of nicotine products and marijuana. Participants will gain valuable knowledge of the current trends of combined co-use, as well as a greater understanding of the cycle of addiction and how co-use of nicotine and marijuana impacts addiction and cessation. The presentation will highlight the impact of students who use both marijuana and nicotine together, the cycle of addition, cessation, prevention and resources for schools to utilize to help adolescents who are impacted by co-use.

Presenter Mallory Henry

Mallory is a Lead Student Assistance Specialist for Caron Treatment Centers. She currently serves as the SAP Specialist for Lehigh and Northampton Counties in Pennsylvania, as well as the SAP liaison for Saucon Valley High School. She also supervises other Student Assistant Specialists in their role as Student Assistant Liaisons for the Caron SAP program. Through her work at Caron she has worked directly with elementary, middle and high school students to deliver a variety of treatment programming including tobacco cessation, prevention services, psycho educational support groups, parent programming and large group presentations. Mallory holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education from Penn State University, and possesses a Pennsylvania secondary teaching certificate. Mallory is also certified as a Lead Trainer by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Prior to her work at Caron she provided Family Based Programming in Bucks and Montgomery Counties and received extensive training in Structural Family Therapy from the Philadelphia Child and Family Therapy Training Center.
