Want to Become a PASAP Board Member:  Board Election Information

In February of each year, the terms of six (6) members of the PASAP Board of Directors will expire. In January of 2020, we will be electing six (6) Board Directors, one (1) in each of the six (6) regions of the Commonwealth.

One of the rights and responsibilities of membership in PASAP is the nomination and election of members to the PASAP Board of Directors. Please consider completing the electronic nomination form if you believe you have the vision and the energy to provide shared leadership to fellow professionals in the field of Student Assistance.

Board Expectations: A Summary

The board meets quarterly in State College, PA. Meetings begin at 1:00 pm Friday and are adjourned no later than 2:00 pm Saturday. This requires an overnight stay in State College. All hotel and meal expenses associated with these meetings are covered by the organization. A board member may also submit mileage for reimbursement.

An additional board meeting is held towards the end of June via a conference call.

Board members are expected to attend all meetings in their entirety, as well as the annual conference in February (arrival in State College on Saturday afternoon and remaining through Tuesday afternoon). Meetings are working meetings.

In addition to these “in person meetings” there are committee meetings scheduled at least quarterly via conference call and there is work to be done by the committees in between scheduled meetings.
